U.S. INDEPENDENCE SEMIQUINCENTENNIAL CEREMONY

The Director of the NATO Counter Intelligence Centre of Excellence took part in the official ceremony marking the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States, organised by the U.S. Consulate General in Kraków.

The ceremony brought together representatives of diplomatic, military and local institutions. Among the attendees were Ambassador Thomas Rose and Consul General Gretchen Cureton, who delivered remarks reflecting on the significance of the Semiquincentennial, the enduring partnership between the United States and its Allies, and the shared values that underpin international cooperation. The event combined formal speeches with commemorative elements highlighting the importance of this milestone in American history.

As one of the Sponsoring Nations of the NATO Counter Intelligence Centre of Excellence, the United States plays a key role in supporting the Centre’s mission. The participation of Director Col. Michal Forgách underscored the importance of this partnership and the Centre’s commitment to strengthening Allied cooperation.
