NATO CI COE DIRECTOR AT EOD COE ANNIVERSARY

The Director of the NATO Counter Intelligence Centre of Excellence participated in the ceremony marking the 15th anniversary of the NATO Explosive Ordnance Disposal Centre of Excellence.

The event, held at the Garrison Club in Trenčín, highlighted fifteen years of development, international cooperation, and sustained commitment to strengthening NATO’s EOD capabilities. During the ceremony, Col. František Mihalovič, Director of the NATO EOD COE, emphasized the Centre’s progress since its accreditation in 2011 and acknowledged the essential support of the Slovak Republic as the Framework Nation, as well as the contributions of the founding Sponsoring Nations. The programme also paid tribute to former Directors and long‑standing supporters whose efforts shaped the Centre’s growth and professional standing within the NATO COE community.

The presence of Colonel Michal Forgách, the NATO CI COE Director, underscored the strong and enduring cooperation between both Centres of Excellence. This cooperation—built on professionalism, trust, and shared commitment to strengthening NATO’s capabilities—remains a valuable pillar of mutual support within the COE network.

On behalf of the NATO CI COE, Col. Forgách extended sincere congratulations to the NATO EOD COE on this significant milestone, wishing the Centre many more years of successful activity, continued development, and unwavering excellence.
