The NATO Counter Intelligence Centre of Excellence hosted a visit from the Commander of the 6th Airborne Brigade in Kraków.

During the meeting, Colonel Piotr Bieniek, the Commander of the 6th Airborne Brigade, and Colonel Michal Forgách, Director of the NATO Counter Intelligence Centre of Excellence, outlined the missions, structures and key characteristics of the organisations they lead. The visit underscored the close cooperation between military institutions and units of the Kraków Garrison in areas of shared interest. It further strengthened daily coordination and mutual support, reflecting a joint commitment to maintaining military contacts and traditions. The meeting unfolded in a warm, professional atmosphere — strengthened by the fact that both officers are seasoned paratroopers, which naturally fostered mutual understanding.

At the end of the meeting, Colonel Bieniek invited Colonel Forgách to participate in the unit’s official ceremony in September, held on the brigade’s holiday, which further reflected the warm and professional atmosphere of their discussion. This occasion highlights the unique role and heritage of the 6th Airborne Brigade, the only fully parachute‑qualified unit in the Polish Armed Forces, drawing its traditions, among others, from the Battle of Arnhem.
