VISIT IN ESTONIA

On the 21st of February, Colonel Robert Bala, Director of NATO Counter Intelligence Centre of Excellence (NATO CI COE), paid a visit to Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL). He was welcomed by the Deputy Commandant/Chief of Staff, Colonel Jean Trudel, and the College Management Group members.

The visit started with a presentation on BALTDEFCOL. COL Bala received a briefing on College’s history, mission, current activities, future developments, and education system. Afterward, COL Bala gave an overview of the tasks and responsibilities of NATO CI COE.

The presentations were followed by active questions & answers sessions that provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and share practices, especially in the educational domain. During the visit, COL Trudel and COL Bala also discussed potential future cooperation between the two organizations.

The Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) is a multinational military college established by Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania in 1999. It acts as a centre of strategic and operational research. It provides professional military education to intermediate- and senior-level officers and government officials from the three Baltic States and NATO and EU countries and other European nations.
