SLOVAK MINISTER OF DEFENSE AT THE CENTRE

The NATO Counter Intelligence Centre of Excellence hosted Jaroslav Naď, the Minister of Defence of Slovakia.

During the visit, the NATO CI COE director Col. Martin Achimovic briefed the minister about the concept, vision, and mission, as well as the main milestones in the history of the Centre. During his presentation, the director stressed main activities, focusing on various projects and indicating the possibilities and future challenges.

The visit to the Center was a part of the program of the Slovak minister’s stay in Poland for several days. During the meeting with the Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak, Jaroslav Naď signed a Polish-Slovak agreement regarding cooperation in military aviation. After that, both ministers emphasized the excellent defense cooperation between the two countries:
– Our contacts are very good. New initiatives are emerging that deepen them. Examples include cooperation at the Center of Excellence in Krakow, relations between special forces and the agreement signed today – stressed the Minister of Defense of Slovakia.
– Our efforts are coordinated. Together we established and developed the Center of Excellence in Krakow. This is a Polish-Slovak initiative. We have just signed an agreement on aviation cooperation between Poland and Slovakia – underlined Mariusz Błaszczak.

During his first official visit to Poland, the Slovak minister also talked with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jacek Czaputowicz and the chairman of the National Defense Committee of the Parliament of the Republic of Poland Michał Jach.
