A member of the Polish personnel assigned to the NATO Counter Intelligence Centre of Excellence has been awarded the United States Air and Space Achievement Medal for distinguished service.

The decoration cites his achievements during service in a counter-intelligence cell supporting operations in Iraq, where his reports and activities prevented impending attacks, disrupted hostile surveillance, and safeguarded more than four thousand personnel as well as critical resources of multi‑million‑dollar value. His performance was recognised as directly contributing to critical force protection activities and vital mission continuity in a high‑threat environment for Polish and United States military deployed personnel and assets. The Polish officer currently serves as an instructor within the Centre’s Education and Training Branch.
