The Counter Intelligence Centre of Excellence has earned status as the 24th NATO COE and activation as a NATO military body.
The NATO Counter Intelligence Centre of Excellence (CI COE) is delighted to announce that on 22nd February the silence procedure by North Atlantic Council has ended. The Centre has earned status as the 24th NATO COE and its activation as a NATO Military Body with a granted international status under Article 14 of the Paris Protocol, as recommended by HQ SACT.
The CI COE has met the MC’s accreditation requirements and will provide support to the NATO transformation and the enhancement of NATO capabilities in the field of counterintelligence, thereby adding value.
Over the past two years, NATO CI COE has worked closely with HQ SACT, NATO HQ, and NATO subject matter experts to develop a clear concept of support to meet the Strategic Commanders’ current and future needs for CI expertise. The positive results are achieved by the HQ SACT′s formal accreditation assessment.
The NATO CI COE mission is focused in full compliance with the principles and provisions of MC Concept for Centres of Excellence (dated 4th December 2003).
