Mr. Andrej Fefer, Director General of the Intelligence and Security Service (ISS) of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Slovenia, paid an official visit to the NATO Counter Intelligence Centre of Excellence.
The visit aimed at fostering the relationship between the two military bodies. The head of the Slovenian service received a warm greeting from the Director, Col. Mariusz Nogaj.
During the meeting with the NATO CI COE’s representatives, Mr. Fefer was briefed on the Centre’s organization, current projects, and near-future activities. The participants also discussed upcoming joint undertakings of the ISS and the NATO CI COE, and Col. Nogaj thanked Mr. Fefer for the ISS’s continuous support.
Mr. Fefer commended the NATO CI COE’s achievements, and emphasized the importance of good cooperation between the two institutions. He encouraged the NATO CI COE to continue its efforts and commitment to new, innovative and ambitious projects in support of NATO’s transformation and sustainable progress.
The visit ended with an introduction to the Center’s infrastructure in Kraków, which is designed to support the Center’s mission.
Mr. Fefer’s visit was an element of the NATO CI COE’s broad cooperation with sponsoring nations. Slovenia is one of the eleven sponsoring nations, and has personnel assigned to the Centre.
