Parliamentary Committee for Special Services chaired by Marek Opioła visited the Counter Intelligence Centre of Excellence. The head of the Polish Military Counterintelligence Service (SKW), Maciej Materka, also attended the meeting.
During the visit, Members of Parliament were recognized by representatives of SKW the legal conditions of functioning, the history, and tasks executed by the Centre. The NATO CI COE director colonel Robert Bala widely presented plans of development in education and training programs, new doctrines proceeding, and lessons learned collecting to increase the counter-intelligence capabilities of the North Atlantic Alliance.

The areas of activities of Special Services Committee include, among others, issuing opinions on special services draft normative acts, giving opinions about special services annual reports, issuing opinions on special services budget draft, evaluating the cooperation of the special services with other authorities, services, institutions as well as the Polish Armed Forces, government administration entities, law enforcement agencies, other state authorities and special services of other countries.
