NATO CI COE AT NATO HQ

On the 15th – 16th of July 2019, a delegation from the NATO Counter Intelligence Centre of Excellence took part in the NATO “COEs Marketplace” at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels.

The purpose of the two-day event was to provide an opportunity for the HQ staff to meet representatives from the 25 NATO-accredited Centers of Excellence to recognize, understand, and embrace the value of the expertise, support, and advice provided by COEs for the Alliance. The COE Marketplace was officially opened by NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller and Chief of Staff to Supreme Allied Commander Transformation Vice Admiral Paul Bennet.

NATO CI COE delegation headed by deputy director Colonel Martin Achimovic presented the Centre and its main projects, key areas of interest, mission, tasks, and general principles to all national delegations and NATO HQ staff as well as the representatives from the other 24 Centres of Excellence. Within two days, the Center’s stand was visited by many personnel working in NATO institutions interested in its mission, vision, and activities. The event was also an opportunity to run many meetings with important key members of NATO HQ.

Participation in the “COEs Marketplace” allowed to present the CI COE’s contribution and efforts to enhance counterintelligence capabilities and interoperability of the Alliance as well as increase its visibility and credit.
