The NATO Counter Intelligence Centre of Excellence hosted the COE LEGAD & FINCON Workshop.
Almost 60 participants took part in workshops for Financial Controllers (FINCON) and Legal Advisors (LEGAD) from the Centers of Excellence in Krakow. In addition to representatives from 21 NATO-accredited COEs, the event was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Defense and other NATO institutions and commands. The workshop is an annual event organized by the Headquarters, Supreme Allied Command Transformation (HQ SACT) and hosted by one selected NATO Centre of Excellence.
The workshop was aimed to discuss and share lessons learned regarding financial and legal aspects related to the administration and operation of COEs. The agenda of the meeting was, in part, divided into two panels on legal and financial issues. However, part of the session was conducted jointly, which was very beneficial for the discussion. Events such as workshops organized within NATO Centres of Excellence help to maintain a Community of Interest and the accompanying exchange of best practices, promote their improvement and further development.
