A delegation from the British Defence Intelligence – Counter Intelligence visited the NATO Counter Intelligence Centre of Excellence.
The primary purpose of the visit was to exchange information about the two Military Bodies’ mission, long and short-term objectives, and fields of cooperation of both institutions and their area of interest. The Defence Intelligence (DI) is a part of the UK Strategic Command, which empowers decision-makers in the Ministry of Defence and the UK government by providing intelligence products and assessments. The Defence Intelligence – Counter Intelligence (DI-CI) staff members who visited the Centre represented its Counter Intelligence Directorate.
During the meeting, the key personnel of the NATO CI COE presented a comprehensive overview of its current tasks, projects, and future challenges. Also, the delegation from DI-CI presented its tasks, organization, and the most critical aspects of its activity. After the presentations, the meeting participants had the opportunity to discuss topics of mutual interest and recognise possible common fields for future cooperation.
After the discussion, the guests were acquainted with the infrastructure available to the NATO CI COE to conduct its activities.
At the end of the visit, all participants declared the continuation, development, and support of cooperation in the future.
