On 14 and 15 June 2021, the NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS), Joint Force Development (JFD) Quality Assurance (QA) Team of Experts conducted an Accreditation on-site visit to the NATO Counter Intelligence Centre of Excellence in Krakow.
The visit was the last step in assessing compliance with NATO’s highest quality standards in education and training, affirming academic standards, and validating innovative solutions and initiatives. It also culminated the hard work and dedication of the NATO CI COE staff to throughout the Centre.
The Institutional Accreditation validates the Education and Training (E&T) mission of the NATO CI COE and its relevance to NATO. This required the NATO CI COE to demonstrate the existence of an effective internal Quality Management System (QMS) and to provide evidence of their contribution to NATO. The capstone document for the internal QMS is a comprehensive QA Policy that covers the whole spectrum of the Institution’s operations and functions. Quality standards and evaluation criteria are applied to three main segments: Leadership and Management, Education and Training, and Contributions to NATO. The team also surveyed the facilities used by the Centre to deliver training solutions.
During the visit, the NATO QA experts examined implementation of the Quality Management System and adherence the NATO Quality standards.
At the end of the visit, the team of experts provided initial feedback and expressed their intent to recommend recognize the NATO CI COE as an unconditionally Accredited QA Institution.
JFD monitors each QA accredited institution throughout the accreditation period to ensure it continues to meet NATO quality standards. The accredited institutions are expected to formally submit annual QA Report to DCOS JFD.
