The Centre conducted the NATO Counter Intelligence Course – the first training addressed to international personnel responsible for the internal security of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
The course’s main aim is to provide comprehensive knowledge on how NATO CI activities are to be conducted in a NATO-led operation. “This course is the response to various threats that may be encountered by students while they are conducting real-life CI support. After graduation, we want participants to have much wider knowledge as well as an understanding of the security procedures and responsibilities, but most importantly, they spoke the same language in joint NATO operations” – underlined CI COE director Col. Robert Bala.
The course lasted two weeks and had a balanced proportion of theory and practice. The course audience included students from the CI COE framework and sponsoring nations and other NATO nations and organizations. The students benefited from the experience of guest speakers from NATO CI bodies.
NATO CI Course will have two iterations in 2018, following the Calling Letter, which is to be sent to the stakeholders two months before each iteration of the course (code: INT-CI-32202).
